We have an important update regarding the direction of our project. After careful consideration and analysis, we have decided to pause the development of our Click to Earn platform. This decision has not been made lightly and we want to provide you with a detailed explanation of our rationale.
Learnings from Token Trek
The launch of Token Trek has provided us with valuable insights into the market dynamics and user engagement within the Radix ecosystem. During this process, we discovered several key factors that influenced our decision to shift focus
We observed that a Radix-backed project already exists in Token Trek. At the time of the release of our C2E roadmap we were not aware of this development. This project has had backing and support from Radix, making it a competitor. Entering a market already served by a strong, Radix-backed project would not be a strategic use of our resources or the project treasury at this stage.
Building and maintaining a Click to Earn platform requires substantial resources, including time, funding, and technical expertise. Given the existing competition, we concluded that these resources could be more effectively utilized in areas where we have a stronger competitive advantage instead of creating utility which is already there and isn’t as successful as we would have hoped. Spending in excess of $20,000 to launch the platform with monthly overheads of $5000+ does not seem a viable business decision in this current market.
Throughout the Token Trek launch, we gathered extensive feedback from users, partners and community members by working directly with projects using Token Trek. The insights revealed a strong demand for our marketing agency services and highlighted the potential for significant growth in this area. By focusing on our agency at this time, we can better meet the needs of our community and provide greater value.
New shift of Radix and Project Now
Instead of pursuing the Click to Earn platform for the time being, we will be refocusing our efforts on strengthening and expanding our marketing agency to support the Radix Network. Our agency has shown great potential, and we believe that doubling down on this aspect will bring more value to the community and the Radix Ecosystem.
As Piers has indicated, the time has come for a change. It will be a change where projects and the community will play a greater role. We see an important task for Project Now in ensuring that each project receives the best support they can. This includes a well-designed UI and vibrant social media that will impress users from other networks. This shift in direction has convinced us that Project NOW will be a key addition to the Radix Network for many years to come. We will revisit this decision once the market sentiment and community engagement improves.
Staking Rewards Paused
As part of our strategic shift, we have also decided to pause the staking program temporarily. While we reassess our direction and focus on expanding our agency, it’s important that we carefully evaluate what will bring the most value to our community in the long term. This pause will allow us to align with our future plans and ensure we provide meaningful benefits to our supporters.
$NOW Token
As we move forward, our priority is to realign the project and $NOW token to focus on actively supporting Radix-based projects and creating tangible value for our token holders. By concentrating our efforts on providing strategic marketing and development services within the Radix ecosystem, we aim to strengthen the community and drive growth across the platform. This realignment will ensure that $NOW holders directly benefit from the success and expansion of Radix projects, fostering a more integrated and valuable ecosystem for everyone involved.
